The Little Turtle
There was a little turtle.
He lived in a box.
He swam in a puddle.
He climbed on the rocks.
He snapped at a mosquito.
He snapped at a flea.
He snapped at a minnow.
And he snapped at me.
He caught the mosquito.
He caught the flea.
He caught the minnow.
But he didn’t catch me.
Turtles in a Tank
By Amy Perry
Feel pity for the turtle,
Born captive in a bowl.
Swimming in a circle,
A life been bought and sold.
He has his natural instincts,
Engrained in DNA.
I wonder what he thinks,
Being captive every day.
To him, it must feel wrong.
A missing link to life.
Pondering all along,
Turtles
Turtles swim swiftly in the sea
Its fins propellers from its shell
From the predators, it can quickly flee
Because turtles can go in land or sea
Which makes this task quite easy
So being a turtle is pretty cool, you can tell
Being able to swim in the deep sea
And having a home that’s a shell
I Like Turtles And Foxes
I like turtles and foxes,
and pigs in some boxes,
I like puppies and cats,
And penguins with hats,
I like chickens and fishes,
And bunnies with wishes,
I like zebras and whales,
And big pony tails,
I like parrots and flies,
And hot apple pies,
I like skating on ice,
And monkeys with lice,
I like turtles and foxes,
And pigs in some boxes.
I like Turtles, I like your face
To my college sweat heart
In a room Filled with strangers,
I found you, our hands touched
Then we began to move
Everything fell perfectly into place
I like Turtles, I like your face
You were kind of with him, I was kind of with her
We touched again, and danced slow
You turned to me, our lips met
They both saw, It made quite a mess
But everything fell perfectly into place
I like Turtles, I like your face
Open fields, Fire pits, Loud music and open fifths
people here we’ve never seen
Flashing lights of blue and green
Then came lights of blue and red
Chaos broke as people fled,
We made our way to the safest place
We laid under the stars and I touched your face
Then the rain fell
Everything fell perfectly into place,
I like turtles I like your face.
These are turtle poems.
